It inculcates the feeling of bliss and prepares the mind for meditation, because in performing it all the motor and sensory organs are engaged and directed towards the Supreme. It can be done anywhere, any time, but the best time is just before meditation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The mantra used for kiirtan is:<\/strong>\u00a0B\u00e1b\u00e1 N\u00e1m Kevalam<\/p>\n<p><strong>B\u00e1b\u00e1<\/strong> means \u201c<em>my most beloved One<\/em>\u201d &#8211; <strong>N\u00e1m<\/strong> means \u201c<em>name of\u201d or \u201cto identify with<\/em>\u201d and <strong>Kevalam<\/strong> means \u201c<em>only<\/em>\u201d.
