Satsaunga March 2021

Editorial: Baba refers to the term GOD as comprising 3 concepts, or actions, of God:
Generator, Operator and Destroyer.

The month of March reminds us of these three actions. Spring in the Northern
hemisphere represents a change to warmer weather. Now we can start to shed our
heavy clothing and open our windows and go outside more freely.

A new world of nature is blossoming, and we can reflect that our world and
ourselves were generated (given birth) by some cosmic force operating through
nature. Winter has been, in a way, destroyed (or more correctly, transformed) by the
warmth of Spring. And our daily lives help us reflect on how we need to maintain
our lives and help maintain the lives of those around us.

As well, we can reflect on the tragic loss of five Margiis who sacrificed their lives
to defend Ananda Nagar from communist attacks in India. They had been born
(generated) according to their particular samskaras, lived their lives (operated) for
the Dharmic ideals of Ananda Marga, and sacrificed their lives (destroyed or
transformed) to defend this Dharma.

Baba thus fixed March 5th (the day of their sacrifices) as “Dadhichi Divas” to
remember them and all the people who sacrifice their life for Dharma. On the
occasion of “Dadhici Divas” we should observe 12 hours Upavas (fasting, from
morning to evening) to pay our respect to all of them.
